- Burkini. Swimming can be a hassle, since most swimwear is made of figure-hugging material. The burkini is an all in one solution for this, but there are plenty of other options too. Scuba suits with a large t-shirt over them work as well. Nowadays, burkini tends to come as three separate pieces: long shirts, the pants, and the hijab cap, which help eliminate the hassles of wearing a one-piece swimsuit. Some yoga pants also come in a material that is close to swimwear, so you can wear them under a long t-shirt.
- Workout Hijabs. The worst part of working out in a Hijab is that the unbreathable material can soak up sweat and stick to you uncomfortably. Fortunately, plenty of entrepreneurs over the years have stepped up to create Hijabs made of the same breathable material as workout shirts and pants. If you’re not a fan of wearing workout materials as a Hijab, always keep a second hijab to change into after your workout.
- Workout Jackets. Light and breezy workout jackets always come in larger sizes. They are baggy and big enough to cover up the tight workout clothes. These days even long and full sleeved shirts often have cut-outs or sheer panels, which make them difficult to wear. Instead of layering more clothing underneath your workout clothes, a better salutation would be to pick up a light wind breaker. Make sure that it is something that will be breathable and still cover you up while you work out.
- Track Pants vs. Yoga Pants. Yoga pants are usually made of a very figure-hugging material, so they may be uncomfortable for wearing in public even if you are in your longest Kurtis or shirts. Track pants are a baggier alternative and can be worn for all sorts of workouts without getting in your way.
- DIY. Sometimes buying workout clothing from stores can be pricey or not have the perfect fit. An easy solution is to pick out a light fabric that feels breathable and get your clothes stitched to your preferred shape and size. Cotton, nylon, polyester, light wools, and spandex are all materials used for various sporting clothes.
