Allah (swt) is Ar-Razzaq, Who created Rizq for everyone, Muslims, non-Muslims, all creatures in the sea and on land; even trees and minutest insects are provided with all that they need.
Can we even count the number of creatures on this planet, let alone fulfill their daily needs? Did you know that just one baby whale needs 500 litres of milk daily? When Allah (swt) gives, He astonishes.
Ar-Razzaq provides us with food and drink and adorns our hearts with true faith. In other words, Rizq is of two kinds:
- material: what our physical body needs (food, drink, air, etc.);
- spiritual: what our soul needs (guidance, beneficial knowledge, etc.)
Ar-Razzaq created our Rizq, and He delivers it to us, so we may be content and thankful.
Why is there poverty? We should know that our actions have consequences. Some humans have created a system that goes against the way of Allah (swt), Who told us that if we are not just, there will be corruption on earth.
Resources like water are wasted, people are abused, and wealth is not distributed justly. Wealth can be a test in this world, and patience in poverty can likewise be a reason for rising in ranks in Jannah. These are the ways of Ar-Razzaq.
