Invocations for Cleansing Sins

Duas from the Quran

“My Lord! Verily I have wronged myself, so forgive me.” (Al Qasas 28:16)

“My Lord! Forgive me and my parents.” (Nuh 71:28)

“Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our transgressions (in keeping our duties to You), establish our feet firmly, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.” (Al Imran 3:147)

Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in Faith, and put not in our hearts any hatred against those who have believed. Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness. Most Merciful.” (Al-Hashr 59:10)

Duas from the Ahadeeth

“I beg forgiveness of Allah, the deity other than Whom there is no God. He is alive and everlasting and I seek repentance unto Him.” (Abu Dawood)

“Oh Allah! Forgive those sins of mine that I committed in error and the ones I committed deliberately, and the ones I did privately, and the ones that I did publically, and the ones I committed erroneously, and the ones I committed deliberately.” (Ahmad)

“Oh Allah! Wash away from me my sins with ice and hail water and purify my heart from wrong doings, as you cleanse a white cloth from dirt; and place distance between me and my sins as much as you have kept between east and west.” (Bukhari)
