A note for parents from the author

While the children enjoy the shenanigans of Zayd and Musa in the backdrop of Eid-ul-Adha, they also learn some important concepts taught in the Quran. The concept covered in this book is Taqwa. It is generally translated as ‘fear of Allah’ but I have explained it as ‘mindfulness of Allah’.

I feel this is a very important concept to inculcate in children. As parents, we cannot hover over children all the time to ensure they are following the values and tenets of Deen. Soon they will enter teenagehood and then be adults. Eventually they will be using their own gadgets, and they will also be active on social media. The world they will witness as adults will be very different from the way it is now.

In this book, I have attempted to weave the concept of Taqwa around various plot points and situations that are relatable to this age group, in a natural style so the young readers don’t feel that they are being preached to.
