Guidelines for Writers

HIBA MAGAZINE GUIDELINES FOR WRITERS

Your article must fit in any one of the categories that are mentioned on the digital magazine’s homepage. Click here to go through the categories and the articles to understand the content we publish.

1. Please ensure that your write up incorporates Quranic teachings, the Sunnah or relevant expert opinions.

2. If your article is about a historical event or historical figure, please include references from books or Hadith. Likewise, if your article focuses on current affairs, please ensure how it impacts the Muslim Ummah. In both cases, please highlight the lessons to be learnt as Muslims.

3. If your article is about navigating careers, marriage, parenting, or personal growth, please ensure that you clearly provide supporting evidence from the Quran, the Sunnah and the Seerah.

4. Experts may also include educators, psychologists, sociologists etc. that align with the Islamic ideology.

5. Finally, ask yourself: how will my article impact Muslim readers and help them improve their book of deeds?

1. Original: Any write-up that is contributed to “Hiba” must be an original piece of work by the writer, and exclusive to Hiba Magazine. Articles published in other publications or blogs will not be considered for publication.
2. Word limit: 800-1000 words
3. Solution-oriented: Articles must be solution-oriented and refrain from emotional outbursts and extensive discussion of problems.
4. Essays or theoretical articles will not be considered for publication.

1. Articles (in MS Word format only) should be mailed as attachments to editor@hibamagazine.com.
2. With your article, mention your full name and a short introduction of yourself.
3. The editorial team will acknowledge the receipt of articles (in the form of an email auto-response).
4. Due to an influx of submissions, writers are not informed regarding their particular submission. Only incase of acceptance of the article, writers are informed via email. 

Writers based in Pakistan only will be paid, one month after the publication of the article in digital magazine. (Terms and conditions apply.)

1. Information contained in “Hiba” can be copied, distributed and printed, as long as it is quoted in its entirety, the source is mentioned and the contents remain unchanged.
2. Articles submitted to “Hiba”, even if they are not published in the e-magazine, can be used by “Hiba” in booklets or manuscripts or blog without the prior written permission of the writer.

Hiba reserves the right to change any of the aforementioned clauses, whenever it deems necessary. Writers are advised to check this section regularly.
