Al-Quddoos – The Clean and the Pure

  • Al-Quddoos is the One Who is Very Pure, Absolutely Holy and the One Who is blessed.
  • Pure means that Allah (swt) does not have any flaws or weaknesses. For example, He is never sleepy or tired, which is a weakness we, humans, have.
  • Allah (swt) is the Pure, but people are not pure. We have many shortcomings, while Allah (swt) does not have any.
  • We get dirty in many ways! Sometimes our mouths can be dirty with lies, our minds with mean thoughts or forgetfulness, our hearts with jealousy, or our actions with sins and bad behaviour. But Allah (swt) is free from all of these things, because He is Al-Quddoos, the Clean and the Pure!
