Rolls of thunder hear my cry;
Thunder rolls through the city;
Lightening flashes in the street;
Oh! Thunder, thunder hear my pity;
I cannot have shoes on my feet.
People are lying in shreds;
And all of them covered in blood;
Kids are asking for bread;
And all of them have fled.
What has happened to my place?
O Allah, please save my Burma!
Why is it bleeding everywhere?
How can I make it safe?
O Merciful, help me out of fight;
Please shine some light;
I need my rights;
Rolls of thunder hear my cry!
I must go too and flee;
As fast as my feet can carry me;
Houses are being knocked down;
They are gathering people round;
Quickly I have to hide somewhere;
I run into my school with lots of fear;
Oh! Here they come;
With all their knives!
I go behind a tree to hide;
Oh darkness, please save me.
Oh! They didn’t leave any living being.
Behind the tree,
I weep and cry;
I pray to Allah (swt) with all my fright;
Please Allah (swt) end this fight;
Grant me a home with a mom and dad;
With lots of love and care;
That no one can ever knock down again!
I know you never betray;
Those who fight for your name;
There is a special place;
Special more than Burma;
And I know it’s Jannah;
I love this place verily;
I will get it certainly.
Rolls of thunder hear my cry;
That’s my final try!
