One day, I will be like an ant,
And have all the might,
Always working, whether it be day or night,
But what if a bird eats me away…
I don’t want to be so tiny, no way!
One day, I will be like a bird,
And fly off to the highest of skies,
I’ll glide through the wind or just rise.
But what if a hunter hunts me down!
I can’t even swim, I may drown.
One day, I will be like a butterfly,
With velvety wings, the colours, and hues,
I’ll flutter around beautiful flowers, the pinks, the reds, the blues.
But what if it snows, I would certainly freeze,
I am so delicate, can’t even stand a cold breeze.
One day, I will be like a tree,
An apple, an cherry, or just peas,
I’ll be home to birds and lots of bees.
But what if they chop me off,
Oh dear! I’ve had enough.
One day, I will be like my grandma,
Who hugs me so tight.
One day, I’ll be like my mom,
Who makes all my wrongs right.
But maybe I should always be like a good Muslim
Who follows the Sunnah and makes Allah smile.
